In this therapy we take a look at automatic, irrational thoughts, examine their
irrationality and substitute them with rational thoughts. If an irrational thought
is causing a person great emotional pain and he/she can see that the thought
isn't based in any reality, that it's just created from fear, then often the
thought can be changed and thus the feeling that follows is also changed.
